Red-Hot Cyclones Win 10th Straight
|
The Brooklyn Cyclones did just enough to sneak past the Lowell Spinners, 2-1, at MCU Park. Brooklyn pitcher Bobby Lopez, in particular, had a standout performance. Elliot Kohn got credit for the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. After today's action, Brooklyn sits at 57-13, while Lowell falls to 21-49.
Brooklyn third baseman Francisco Marquez staked his team to an early lead in the bottom of the second inning, when he grounded out, driving in 1 run with a runner on 3rd.
"The team is playing at a high level," said Cyclones manager Bill Foshee.
