Lake Monsters first baseman Manny Montolio left his mark on his team's 7-6 win over the Hudson Valley Renegades. Montolio went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for Vermont in the contest. Josh McCloud was credited with the save for Vermont, his 10th of the season. The Lake Monsters go to 27-43, putting them last in the Stedler Division.

Montolio had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-2 fastball from Joe Williamson, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Lake Monsters a 7-6 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Montolio.

"They beat us fair and square," Hudson Valley skipper Marquise Woods said.
