Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Black Bears
The West Virginia Black Bears picked up a win at Falcon Park, knocking off the Auburn Doubledays, 3-1. Starting pitcher Billy de Soto was a big reason why. The Doubledays, at 26-44, have lost 4 straight games.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Mario Sierra came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Auburn pitcher Dave Almaraz, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a 2-run triple. It was a game-changer, putting West Virginia on top, 3-1.

"You never take a win for granted in this league," said Sierra.
