The Williamsport Crosscutters got a magnificent effort from pitcher Mario Ortega, who kept State College hitters in check en route to a 3-0 Crosscutters win at Bowman Field. Jose Martinez closed the game out for Williamsport, earning his 1st save. At 35-36, Williamsport is in 4th place in the Pinckney Division.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Crosscutters had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when center fielder Victor Solorio hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Sam Stratton and made the score 1-0, Crosscutters. Solorio was 2-4 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Williamsport manager B.J. Olenchuk. "Our pregame was pretty good."
