Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Spinners beat the Renegades.

In a well-pitched game between the Lowell Spinners and the Hudson Valley Renegades, pitcher Cruz Castillo was fantastic. The Lowell right-hander helped his team secure the win, 3-1. Castillo, the winner, moves to 2-1. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 10 and giving up 2 walks.

Ricardo Revda took Hudson Valley hurler Jayden Wilkins deep in the bottom of the third. His 2-run home run put the Spinners on top, 2-0. In all, Revda had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Spinners manager Victor Aquino. "This one was nice to get."

Lowell is now 30-42, Hudson Valley 28-44.
