In a tight tilt between the West Virginia Black Bears and the Brooklyn Cyclones, Lorenzo Yanez was the difference-maker. The West Virginia right-hander excelled in his team's 3-2 win in 10 innings. Jose Gonzalez claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. His record stands at 4-1. The win elevated the Black Bears to 42-30.

The decisive blow was delivered by Fred Trent in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Matt Bourne to win the game for West Virginia. The home crowd went nuts.

"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Yanez said.
