ValleyCats Win with Late Rally
The ValleyCats earned a hard-fought, 4-3 win in 10 innings at Centennial Field. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Vermont pitcher John Ries. Ries went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Tri-City reliever Brian Schwartz picked up the win to move to 1-5. Josh McCloud suffered the loss. The ValleyCats move to 33-39 with the win, while the Lake Monsters drop to 27-45.

Chris Kammerer, who is tied for 8th in the NYP in bases on balls with 26, had a direct impact on the outcome. Kammerer contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Tri-City up, 4-3.
