Black Bears Keep Clicking, Win, 7-4
The West Virginia Black Bears defeated the Williamsport Crosscutters, 7-4. Center Fielder Josh Brooks deserved a large share of the credit. Brooks went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Black Bears. Ernesto Lopez notched his 11th save in 14 chances. West Virginia improves to 44-28 with the win. They lead their division by 6½ games.

West Virginia took a 6-4 lead on Adam Gehringer's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Gehringer hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Williamsport pitcher Sam May visibly frustrated.

"That's a solid team effort right there," said Brooks. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
