Lugnuts Walk It Off for 68th Win of Season
|
The home team gave their fans plenty to cheer about, with a thrilling walk-off win.
The Lansing Lugnuts wanted a good start from Josh Jackson -- and he delivered one. The result was a 2-1 Lansing win over the Bowling Green Hot Rods at Cooley Law School Stadium. Lansing reliever Luis Rodas was the winner. His record is now 7-5. Angelo Garza took the loss.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Hot Rods allowed the Lugnuts to score the winning run.
"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Priddy said.
Lansing, at 68-67, sits in third place in the Eastern Division.
