In a tight tilt between the Lansing Lugnuts and the Great Lakes Loons, Franklin Castro was the deciding factor. The Lansing right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. The winning pitcher was Castro, now 7-10. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 5. The Lugnuts now have a mark of 50-86.
Nick Slate helped out the Lansing cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 2 with a walk.
