Fort Wayne Makes It 8 Straight with 6-2 Win
It took 11 innings, but the Fort Wayne TinCaps were able to beat the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 6-2, at Bowling Green Ballpark. C.J. Souza provided some offensive muscle for Fort Wayne. He was 4-5 with 4 singles and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Ryan Stephenson, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The TinCaps win now puts them at 79-59.

Jason Breeze provided a timely hit. The Fort Wayne designated hitter delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the 11th inning to put the TinCaps on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"This game can get contagious when you're going good offensively," said Fort Wayne manager Justin Rand.
