Wisconsin Beats Peoria, 5-1
|
Wisconsin picked up a win at Dozer Park, toppling the Peoria Chiefs, 5-1. Pitcher Henry Arrellano was one of the reasons the Timber Rattlers triumphed. The third-place Timber Rattlers raised their record to 81-58.
Had Greg Miles not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Miles hit a 2-run single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Timber Rattlers.
"We'll put that win in the can," said Miles, "and go after the next one."
