Indians Beat White Sox, 4-2
|
The Spokane Indians picked up a win at Avista Stadium, knocking off the Chicago A (SS-A) White Sox, 4-2. Starting pitcher Alejandro Quintero was a big reason why. Quintero, now 2-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Ethan Michaels sewed up the save, his 1st.
Gabe Adame broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the fourth with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Indians in front, 2-1. For the game, Adame drove in one run.
"Alejandro was aggressive right out of the chute," said Spokane manager Adam Leporati.
The Indians, now 8-3, have hit the ground running this season.
