Jon Oakes of the Hillsboro Hops was in command from start to finish in his 18-0 shutout win over the Tri-City Dust Devils. The right-hander, who is tied for 6th in the NWL in complete games with 1, struck out 11, walked 0 and allowed 4 hits.
"I felt strong the entire game," Oakes said. "I felt like I had my good stuff. It was just one of those games when everything was working."
His record this season is 3-3 in 7 starts and Oakes has a 1.88 ERA.

Hall Dominates in 6-1 Win over Team 1 All-Stars

Tyrell Hall said the annual all-star game is mostly for the fans to enjoy, but the players have a lot of fun too.
"It's a great time to get that much talent on one ball diamond," he said. "You feel fortunate to even be part of it."
Hall wasn't just a part of the game, he was named the game MVP, as his Team 2 All-Stars won 6-1 over the Team 1 All-Stars.
Hall went 1 for 3 in the game to earn the nod as the game's best.
