Brewers Edged by Reds, 5-4
Cincinnati (SS-A) beat Milwaukee (SS-A) at Stallions Ballpark, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to third baseman Sean Flanagan. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The winner was Cincinnati (SS-A) reliever Sean Stevens, now 1-0. The loser was Ernesto Madrigal. The save went to Mike Hanley, his 3rd this season.

Had Andy Meza not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Meza hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Reds.

"It felt good to put the barrel on the ball," said Flanagan.

It was the 8th win in 11 games this year for the defending champion Reds, who are picking up where they left off.
