Indians Run Win Streak to 6
|
Spokane picked up a win at Ballpark of Jersey City, bumping off the Chicago A (SS-A) White Sox, 4-2. Pitcher Cody Dunn was a major reason the Indians emerged victorious. Dunn, now 2-0, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Jeff Rice earned the save for Spokane, his 2nd of the year.
Spokane took a 4-2 lead on John Fuller's 8th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Fuller hit in the top of the eighth, left Chicago A (SS-A) pitcher Warren Auger visibly frustrated.
"I thought Cody threw the ball well across the board," said Spokane manager Adam Leporati.
Now 11-3, the 2107 Indians have been sensational so far.
