Indians Suffer 8-2 Loss to Reds
The Cincinnati (SS-A) Reds topped the Spokane Indians, 8-2, in Northwest League action at Avista Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Cincinnati (SS-A) pitcher and Barcelona, Venezuela, native Raul Espinosa. In 7 innings, Espinosa surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 4. He allowed 2 runs. The win brings the Reds to 5-9, an awful start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Miguel Torres? The Cincinnati (SS-A) first baseman had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning to put the Reds on top, 2-0. For the game, Torres had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"Things kind of got away from us," said Spokane skipper Adam Leporati.
