Dodgers Shut Out Emeralds, 2-0
|
The Los Angeles N (SS-A) Dodgers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Tony Starlin, who muffled the Eugene offense en route to a tight, 2-0 Dodgers win at Ballpark of Conshohocken. Picking up his 1st save was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Oscar Mojica. Los Angeles N (SS-A) is looking good at 51-24.
Los Angeles N (SS-A) took a 2-0 lead on Luis Holguin's 6th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Holguin hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Eugene pitcher Devon Speight visibly frustrated.
"I think every team will tell you that the pitching sets the tone, especially the starters," said Los Angeles N (SS-A) skipper Zach Turner.
