Big Day for Harris as Angels Down Hawks, 8-0
|
Los Angeles A (SS-A) right fielder Adrian Harris made his presence felt in the 8-0 Angels triumph over the Boise Hawks. Harris went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Ernie Posey picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-0. He struck out 3 in 6.2 innings. The loss makes Boise 8-9.
With Los Angeles A (SS-A) leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Harris came up to bat against Boise pitcher Alvin Groeneveld. Harris hit a knuckle curve to center for a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season put the Angels on top, 3-0.
"Today was a lot of fun," said Harris.
