Williams Goes 5-for-5 Against Atlanta (SS-A)
|
5 times is the charm -- at least for Tyrell Williams.
The Salem-Keizer Volcanoes catcher tore up the Atlanta (SS-A) Braves to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Rocketmen Stadium. The offensive onslaught from Williams powered the 11-0 Volcanoes win.
"Williams was a tough out," Atlanta (SS-A) manager Terrell Hagans said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
Tyrell Williams singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Williams is swinging at a .302 pace on the year with 2 home runs, 4 RBIs and 6 runs scored. He has played in 12 games.
