The Milwaukee (SS-A) Brewers faced a tenacious opponent in Hillsboro pitcher Matt Evrard, but still scratched out a win at Ron Tonklin Field by a final score of 6-3 in 10 innings. Evrard went 5.2 innings and allowed no runs. The third-place Hops have dropped 4 straight games.

John Grasty provided a timely hit. The Milwaukee (SS-A) shortstop delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the tenth inning to put the Brewers on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

After the game, Grasty refused to speak to a reporter for the Milwaukee (SS-A) Herald. "You've accused me of throwing teammates under the bus," he said. "So, excuse me if I decline to answer your questions."
