Royals Slap 4-0 Loss on Twins
The Kansas City (SS-A) Royals welcomed the Minnesota (SS-A) Twins to an night game at Lancaster Grounds.

Kansas City (SS-A) starter Matthew Anderson put a stranglehold on the Minnesota (SS-A) offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Royals to a 4-0 win. Picking up his 5th save was 21-year old right-handed pitcher Michael Becerra.

Kansas City (SS-A) used the hitting of Miguel Garcia to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Royals on top, 1-0. For the game, Garcia had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Matthew looked very determined to have a good game," said Kansas City (SS-A) manager Rich Freedland. "He was totally focused and he produced."

The third-place Twins have dropped 4 straight games.
