AquaSox Snatch Late Win
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Everett AquaSox and the Atlanta (SS-A) Braves, 23-year old right-handed pitcher Chris Camacho proved to be the difference. The Everett right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-1 AquaSox win. Bobby Arline, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 0.1 innings. Zach Hyatt earned the save, his 1st.
Dave Stanton came through with a big-time hit for Everett. The right fielder smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 3-0. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Bottom line," said Atlanta (SS-A) skipper Terrell Hagans, "we didn't play well enough to win."
The win makes Everett 11-7.
