White Sox Suffer 3-2 Loss to AquaSox
|
Everett got a strong outing from John Franco as the AquaSox defeated the Chicago A (SS-A) White Sox, 3-2, at Everett Memorial Stadium. Franco went 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 0. His record improves to 2-0. Eric Moynihan got credit for the save for Everett. It was his 5th of the year.
Chris Fahey had an important at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the fifth, when he hit a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season put Everett on top, 3-1.
In postgame remarks to the Everett Gazette, Fahey was in a reflective mood. "Sometimes," he said, "I can't believe my good luck. Playing a game and making a living at it."
Everett, at 9-8, holds down third place in the West Division.
