PK Park was the site of a competitive game between the Los Angeles A (SS-A) Angels and Eugene Emeralds.

The Eugene Emeralds got a marvelous performance from pitcher Nick Lippoldt. The right-hander kept the Los Angeles A (SS-A) offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 4-2 Eugene victory at PK Park. The Emeralds, now 12-6, have won 4 in a row.

The Emeralds got a big at-bat from third baseman Adam Sharples. For the game, Sharples went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 2nd double of the season gave Eugene a 3-2 lead.

"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Lippoldt. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
