Valasek Lifts Hawks to 11-3 Triumph
The Boise Hawks had no problem beating the Spokane Indians, 11-3, at Avista Stadium. Ken Valasek, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2109 draft, led the onslaught. He was 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for Boise. Jeremy Delp finished the game for Boise and earned his 1st save. At 8-13, Boise is in third place in the East Division.

Boise won the game in part because of Mike Veith. The second baseman ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Hawks ahead, 4-0. For the game, Veith had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"We hit the ball hard," said Boise manager Rob Procise. "Line drive after line drive."
