White Sox Hang 3-1 Loss on Volcanoes
|
In a tight affair between the Chicago A (SS-A) White Sox and the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, pitcher John Wright was in the zone. The Chicago A (SS-A) right-hander helped his team win the game, 3-1. Juan Nadal recorded his 5th save for Chicago A (SS-A). The second-place White Sox lifted their record to 12-9.
Keith Levesque had a big 3-run home run for the White Sox in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Chicago A (SS-A) trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 22-year old left-handed pitcher Abraham Cerdan and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the White Sox on top, 3-1.
"John pitched the ball pretty freaking great," said Chicago A (SS-A) manager Danny Flores.
