Iglesias, Canadians Rough Up White Sox, 11-2

The Vancouver Canadians topped the Chicago A (SS-A) White Sox, 11-2, at Nat Bailey Stadium. Vancouver shortstop Jorge Iglesias was a spark plug for the offense. He went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5. Vancouver, having won 19 in a row, is now 20-2.
Center Fielder Paul Sirois made an impact for Vancouver, when he swatted a run-scoring triple off Miguel Escobedo in the bottom of the fifth. For the contest, Sirois went 2-4 with 2 triples. He scored 2 runs.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Vancouver manager Robert Ely.
