Twins Knock Off Royals at Lancaster Grounds
The Minnesota (SS-A) Twins defeated the Kansas City (SS-A) Royals, 10-1, at Lancaster Grounds. Minnesota (SS-A) right fielder Eddie Hernandez had a superb performance. He was 1 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Reliever Jorge BorragAn picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Vinny Nieto took the loss. The third-place Twins improved to 13-11.

Justin Nave had a big 2-run double for the Twins in the bottom of the second inning. With Minnesota (SS-A) trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Vinny Nieto and swatted a double to left. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Twins ahead, 2-1.

"Not much to say," Kansas City (SS-A) manager Lorenzo Villatoro said, when asked afterward about the defeat.
