Bello, Indians Beat Hawks, 9-2
|
The Spokane Indians grabbed a win, 9-2, over the Boise Hawks at Avista Stadium. Spokane designated hitter Miguel Bello went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Ryan Frederick. Spokane is first in the East Division with a record of 15-12.
Chris Hardacker had a big 2-run home run for the Indians in the bottom of the second inning. With Spokane trailing 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 20-year old left-handed pitcher Bill Larkman and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Indians on top, 2-1.
"We'll try to build on that win," Bello told the Spokane Gazette.
