Royals Deal Reds Painful Loss
|
Kansas City (SS-A) Royals starter Jesus Esparza turned in a sterling performance against the Cincinnati (SS-A) Reds, leading his team to a thin, 3-2 win in 10 innings. Today's win puts Kansas City (SS-A) at 14-15, while Cincinnati (SS-A) falls to 11-19.
The Royals got a clutch hit from shortstop T.J. McCullough. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Royals.
"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Lorenzo Villatoro.
