Arias, Emeralds Beat Indians, 2-0
PK Park featured a tense pitchers' duel.

Starting pitcher Victor Arias gave the Eugene Emeralds a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Spokane Indians, 2-0, at PK Park. Getting the save was Chris Herrera, his 6th.

The standout performance belonged to 19-year-old Arias. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Emeralds. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Indians, striking out 10 and scattering 4 hits over 7 innings. Arias is now 4-2 on the season.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Arias said.

The victory gives Eugene a record of 20-10.
