Gamino Impressive in 5-2 Everett Triumph
|
The Everett AquaSox got a strong performance from pitcher Juan Gamino. Toxin stymied the Chicago A (SS-A) offense en route to a solid, 5-2 win at Ballpark of Jersey City. Zach Hyatt was credited with the save for Everett, his 4th of the season. The second-place AquaSox improved to 18-13.
Gamino, a native of Pasadena, California, was dealing all game. He kept Chicago A (SS-A) hitters off-balance, while giving the AquaSox 6.2 quality innings. Gamino threw 90 pitches, allowing 1 hit and striking out 8.
"Juan did a heck of a job," said Everett manager Jim Hulsey.
