Taylor Ferris had a good game, but he could not keep the Everett AquaSox from falling, 5-3, to the Milwaukee (SS-A) Brewers at Everett Memorial Stadium. The Everett third baseman went 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once in the loss. The winning pitcher was 20-year old right-handed pitcher John Bridgewater. He tossed 90 pitches over 6.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits. Raul Gamboa earned his 1st save, after closing out the game.

Milwaukee (SS-A) used the timely hitting of Adam Calabrese to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Brewers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Calabrese.

Milwaukee (SS-A) is now 15-20.
