Twins Skid Hits 6 Games
|
The Everett AquaSox got a strong performance from pitcher J.J. Rasche, who stymied the Minnesota (SS-A) offense en route to a win, 2-0, at Lancaster Grounds. Juan Gamino earned the save for Everett. Minnesota (SS-A) has now lost 6 in a row.
Everett relied on the hitting of Clark Strauss to pick up the win. The first baseman ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the AquaSox on top, 2-0. For the game, Strauss had 1 triple and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"We were trying to do a difficult thing -- winning a game without scoring," said Minnesota (SS-A) manager Lorenzo Carballo. "That's not going to work out."
