The Eugene Emeralds beat the Cincinnati (SS-A) Reds, 7-4, at PK Park. The win was due in part to third baseman Mike Orlandi, who was 2 for 3 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Eugene reliever Roman Velasquez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Justin Maddux took the loss. With the win, Eugene upped its record to 28-8.

In the bottom of the fifth, Eugene center fielder Willie Lopez had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Lopez stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 6-3, Eugene. For the game, he went 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Lopez told the Eugene Herald.
