The Cincinnati (SS-A) Reds got production up and down the lineup while beating the Eugene Emeralds, 14-1. One standout was catcher Justin Omundson. Omundson went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Emmanuel Cardenas picked up the save, his 2nd. Cincinnati (SS-A) is now 23-14, while Eugene is 22-13.

With Cincinnati (SS-A) leading 5-1 in the top of the seventh, Omundson batted against Eugene pitcher Chris Powell. Omundson hit a cutter to right-center for a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Reds on top, 8-1.

Eugene manager Josh Ruzic called the blowout loss "just something that happens from time to time."
