Brewers Make Angels 5-2 Losers
|
Starting pitcher Meiver Koeppel was a major factor in the 5-2 Milwaukee (SS-A) Brewers triumph over the Los Angeles A (SS-A) Angels. Koeppel picked up the win for Milwaukee (SS-A), going 7.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 3-0. Rogelio Banuelos was credited with the save for Milwaukee (SS-A), his 1st of the season.
The Brewers got a big at-bat from second baseman Chris Mixon. For the game, Mixon went 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs. In the top of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Milwaukee (SS-A) a 1-0 lead.
"Meiver knows how to get ahead of hitters, stay ahead of hitters, and put people out," said Milwaukee (SS-A) manager Sam Williams.
The Brewers raised their record to 25-10.
