The Minnesota (SS-A) Twins knocked off the Everett AquaSox, 8-0, at Everett Memorial Stadium. David Pelayo was a big reason Minnesota (SS-A) won. The shortstop went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Jon Perkins recorded the save for Minnesota (SS-A), his 1st of the season. The Twins are now 14-24, while the AquaSox fall to 12-24.

With Minnesota (SS-A) leading 3-0 in the top of the ninth, Pelayo came up to bat against Everett pitcher Travis Chandler. Pelayo hit a fastball to left-center for a grand slam home run. His 1st home run of the season put the Twins on top, 7-0.
