Reds Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
|
The Cincinnati (SS-A) Reds relied on a great performance from Ryan Ruble, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2112 draft, to beat the Chicago A (SS-A) White Sox, 1-0, in 10 innings at Stallions Ballpark. Ivan Ludi snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-1 on the season. Jeff Lundy suffered the loss. The first-place Reds have won 7 in a row.
The Reds got a clutch hit from center fielder Mario Picon. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Reds.
"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager Danny Whitefield.
