Brewers Edge Reds, 4-3
|
The Milwaukee (SS-A) Brewers topped the Cincinnati (SS-A) Reds, 4-3, in Northwest League action at Ballpark of Fremont. The standout performance belonged to Milwaukee (SS-A) pitcher and Bridgewater, Massachusetts, native Jonathan Marquez. The second-place Brewers lifted their record to 25-18.
The Brewers relied on catcher Chase Myers for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 11th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Brewers manager Will Antwydamaylo.
