Braves Win with Late Heroics
|
The Atlanta (SS-A) Braves did just enough to nip the Milwaukee (SS-A) Brewers, 3-2, in 10 innings. Atlanta (SS-A) pitcher Vinny Montenegro, in particular, had a standout performance. The third-place Brewers dropped to 22-21.
The Braves got a clutch hit from left fielder Nick Ament. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to right-center, to win the game for the Braves.
"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Ament.
