Brewers Claim Late Win
|
The Milwaukee (SS-A) Brewers beat the Chicago A (SS-A) White Sox, 9-2. Milwaukee (SS-A) pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native Alex Portugal led the way. The Brewers, at 25-18, sit in second place in the South Division.
Milwaukee (SS-A) used the clutch hitting of Tim Erber to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run double in the top of the 11th inning to give the Brewers the lead, 4-2. For the game, Erber had 1 single and 1 double in 3 at-bats.
"We just battled, never quit, and continued to grind out at-bats trying to create some opportunities," said Milwaukee (SS-A) manager Ben Schorn.
