The Boise Hawks beat the Hillsboro Hops by a score of 7-6. Boise shortstop Jadon Thomas deserved the lion's share of the credit. Thomas was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Hawks. The winner in relief was Ole Jacobs. He is now 2-2. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The third-place Hawks bumped their record to 22-22.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Bernie Cintron? The Boise designated hitter had a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hawks on top, 7-6. For the game, Cintron had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

Hawks manager Chris Clark wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
