Canadians Saddle Angels with 4-0 Loss
Vancouver Canadians starter Jordan Blanco turned in a top-notch performance against the Los Angeles A (SS-A) Angels at Nat Bailey Stadium. The result was a win for the Canadians, 4-0. Vancouver has a record of 36-8, placing them first in the West Division.

Keith Pierce had a big 3-run home run for the Canadians in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Vancouver leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he sized up a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Rick Perkins and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Canadians on top, 4-0.

In postgame remarks, Pierce hailed his team's "grit."
