Anaya, Indians Beat Canadians, 2-1
|
The Spokane Indians converted a terrific effort from starter Andres Anaya into a win over the Vancouver Canadians at Avista Stadium. The Indians won the game by a final score of 2-1. At 21-26, the Indians claim second place in the East Division.
Anaya was the winning pitcher. He raised his season record to 3-4. In 8 innings of work, Anaya gave up 1 run on 3 hits, while striking out 6. The Canadians were never able to generate much offense.
"At the end of the day, it's about putting up zeros," said Anaya.
