The Texas (AZL) Rangers dumped the Milwaukee (AZL) Brewers, 8-5, in large part due to third baseman Mauricio Elizondo. On the day, Elizondo was 3-5 with a triple and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Rangers. The loss puts Milwaukee (AZL) at 1-3.

Texas (AZL) left fielder Brent Jarzynka contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 3rd hit of the season and put the Rangers ahead, 7-5.

"You can't take yourself too seriously," Elizondo told the Texas (AZL) Observer. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."
