Micah DeSain had an excellent July and has been rewarded with the Arizona Rookie League Pitcher of the Month Award. The San Diego (AZL) relief ace was one tough customer on the mound, constantly coming in and getting his club out of trouble or protecting a one-run or two-run lead.
During the month, the Padres star had 1 save in 1 save opportunity, a 0.00 ERA and 5 wins and no losses. In 17 innings DeSain struck out 24 and gave up 12 hits and 7 walks.

Arizona Rookie League Picks July's Best Batter

Aaron Snoddy is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Cleveland (AZL) third baseman joined that select company when the Arizona Rookie League announced the results of July's voting.
Snoddy totaled 38 hits, 16 walks, 2 home runs, 14 RBIs and 27 runs scored last month to put together a .413 batting average and .514 on-base percentage.
