Kansas City (AZL) third baseman Josh Washington had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-3, to Texas (AZL) at Surprise Stadium. Washington went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 walks. Texas (AZL) reliever Miguel Elizares was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Stephen Rozier took the loss.
Baldwin Meyer, the Texas (AZL) third baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth inning to make the score 3-2, Rangers. For the game, Meyer went 1-4.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Meyer said after the game.
The loss drops the Royals to 6-4.
