Rangers Roll to 8-3 Win Over Mariners
Texas (AZL) registered a win at Surprise Stadium by beating the Seattle (AZL) Mariners, 8-3. Pitcher Steve Roland was one reason why the Rangers triumphed. Roland got the win, improving to 3-0. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 8.1 innings. He allowed 3 runs. The loss drops Seattle (AZL) to 3-11.

Had Jose Rodriguez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Rodriguez hit a 2-run triple. That made the score 5-3, in favor of the Rangers.

"We were able to put some runs on the board," said Rodriguez after the game.
