Richmond Flying Squirrels starter Bill Hetrick led his team to victory over the Portland Sea Dogs, 2-1. The right-hander was locked-in. Picking up his 6th save was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Luis Parra. The Sea Dogs fall to 8-13 and continue their rocky start to the 2104 season.

Hetrick kept the Sea Dogs under his thumb. He scattered 5 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 8. The right-hander upped his season record to 2-1.
