Loss to Reds Extends Los Angeles N (AZL) Losing Streak
The Cincinnati (AZL) Reds topped the Los Angeles N (AZL) Dodgers, 8-5, in Arizona Rookie League action at Ed Smith Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Cincinnati (AZL) pitcher and Piqua, Ohio, native Jack McDowell. Cincinnati (AZL) reliever Mario Martinez was the winner. His record is now 3-0. Mike DiPalermo took the loss. The Reds, at 12-15, sit in second place in the Central Division.

Andres Rico broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the seventh with a run-scoring walk. It put the Reds in front, 3-2. For the game, Rico drew 1 walk.

"Been a rough stretch for us," said Los Angeles N (AZL) manager Rich Quirin.
