Feagin 5-for-5 Against Reds
|
Even as a kid, Todd Feagin said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Camelback Ranch today, Feagin showed how well he learned that lesson.
The 19-year-old right fielder had 5 hits in 5 at-bats for the Chicago A (AZL) White Sox, helping his team knock off the Cincinnati (AZL) Reds by a score of 8-3.
"They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did today."
Todd Feagin singled in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Lazaro Bracamonte in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
A look at his season totals shows Feagin with 1 home run, .439 BA, .459 OBP, 19 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
